Damballah - Snake Loa of creation shirt Product Description
Damballa (or Damballah-Wedo) is one of the most important loa in the practice of Voodoo. Together with his wife Ayida-Wedo, both represented by snakes, he is the loa of creation. Associated with fire, the color white, and of course, snakes, he often speaks in hisses during Rada rites. Printed in red and white, this design features a vever that combines elements from several different symbols used to honor and invoke Damballah, and in the traditional way, shows two snakes, to represent both Damballah and Ayida as a creative force. In the background is an albino python and the image of St. Patrick, the Catholic saint associated with this Father of the Loa.
